"Art 2013, a pure Mencia from a fresh vintage, is the estate's top-of-the-range cuvée. It has a nose typical of the 1990s: a concentrated, generously oaked red, rather exuberant, loaded with spices and ripe berries, a little restrained and quite young. The palate is medium-bodied, with good concentration, fine, abundant tannins and a fine acidic structure. It has the structure to age well, with the intensity and balance of old vines." "Finca La Cuesta is so young it's like a brut de cuve. This is a pure Mencia, aged in French oak barrels for a year. It seems to be more complete than the 2013, powerful, with better balance and emerging complexity. The palate is still marked by ageing, but you can feel the intensity and concentration of the vintage, coupled with a lovely acidity that brings good balance to this powerful style. A very promising vintage for Finca La Cuesta. " (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)

"Unwooded, fresh, young and fleshy, Mencia 2015 is the estate's entry-level wine. It is still a champion in its category, presenting intense aromas of balsamic herbs, even a hint of mint, blackberries, black cherries as well as a fleshy, juicy palate with very fine tannins. Ideal for the table." (Wine Advocate 2016 - Robert Parker)
