Bodegas Borsao
Bodegas Borsao was born in 1958 from a cooperative winery grouping together the Borja, Pozuelo and Tabuenca producing entities. In 2011, the Bodegas took on its current name, bringing together the vineyards of all the founders, which are operated according to a modern and efficient organizational scheme, giving the structure international stature.

The diversity of Bodegas Borsao 's microclimates and soils supports the king of grape varieties: Grenache. Indeed, the DO Campo de Borja is commonly referred to as "The Grenache Empire". Other grape varieties coexist, such as Tempranillo, Cabernet, Mazuela, Syrah and Merlot for the reds, and Maccabeu, Chardonnay and Muscadelle for the whites. Together, these grape varieties account for around 35% of the appellation area.

Bodegas Borsao wines are exported all over the world and enjoy an ever-growing reputation, winning rave reviews in the trade press, both for their quality and for their excellent value for money.

90/100 Robert Parker

"Tres Picos 2013 is the estate's flagship cuvée, a 100% Grenache from the oldest vines planted on the Moncayo hillsides. This is the first time that Grenache has been aged partly in French oak barrels (10 months) and partly in vats. There are 6000 cases of this exceptional wine. Its ruby/purple color is followed by notes of kirsch liqueur, licorice, pepper and spice box, for a full-bodied, richly fruity, sensual, pure wine with fine finesse and complexity. Sometimes Grenache takes on complex accents similar to Pinot Noir, and that seems to be the case here. Consumers should take advantage of these beautiful wines offered at ridiculously low prices." "Berola 2010 is a blend of Grenache and Syrah aged in a combination of American and French oak barrels. It then spends a year in bottle before being released. A revelation of the vintage, it reveals a dark ruby/purple color with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, licorice and lavender. Full-bodied, rich, beautifully textured and impressively pure, it can be enjoyed over the next 3-4 years." (Wine Advocate Nov. 2013 - Robert Parker)

3.4/5 (5 reviews)

This Tinto Seleccion, honored by the Guide Gourmets, one of the three most influential in Spain, has a deep ruby color and reveals ripe cherry and violet nuances on the nose, in a beautiful floral register. A full-bodied, spicy red with a long, complex finish... A very fine vintage!
