Cataluna
The region of Catalonia, with its highly contrasting topography, enjoys a Mediterranean climate, but with great disparities that enable the production of wines with very different characters.
DO Cataluna produces both red and white wines. DO Cataluna red wines are often made from Grenache, Monastrelle and Syrah grapes, but also from Merlot, Pinot Noir or Cabernet Sauvignon. White wines are mainly made with Grenache blanc, Muscadelle, Maccabeu and sometimes Chardonnay. DO Cataluna wines are generally fruity and harmonious, very typical of their terroir.
