Miquel Pons

Caves Miquel Pons is a family business located in the Alt Penedès area of Catalonia, west of Barcelona, Spain, and has been dedicated to winegrowing for generations. The Miquel Pons winery owns an estate called Cal Montargull , where the tradition and know-how of working the land and vines are handed down to the first-born of each generation. The knowledge and experience acquired by Miquel Pons in maintaining and improving the estate, combined with the insights of his sons Joan and Pere in elaborating the wines and cavas, result in products marked by their personalities. As a result, the Miquel Pons winery is renowned for the quality and variety of its production.

The grape varieties used on the Miquel Pons estate are, of course, mainly local: Macabeo, Xarelo and Parellad. Chardonnay, Caberent-Sauvignon and Merlot are also used. Each grape variety is pressed and fermented separately. The Miquel Pons estate is unique in that its product range is as extensive as it is qualitative, from red, rosé and white wines (single-varietal or blended) to white, rosé and even red cavas (sparkling wines).
