La Legua
La legua is a family estate located 6km from the town of Valladolid, a league away - hence the name Legua which means "league". Over the past three centuries, this agricultural property has evolved into a famous vineyard. Over time, the various owners of La Legua have maintained their commitment to innovation and experimentation in the vineyard and cellar in order to produce quality wines.

The grape varieties grown by La Legua are Tempranillo (85%), Grenache noir (8%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (7%). The terroir consists of alluvium and gravel. The continental climate brings sharp variations in temperature throughout the year, as well as between night and day.

92/100 James Suckling

round-tipped
black fruits

"A salivating vintage, a guaranteed pleasure!"

"Lots of Morello cherries here, as well as black plums, blackberries and a citrus character that brings freshness. Full-bodied with explosive black fruit, but just the right combination of firm tannins to give that structure." (James Suckling)
