"Genium 2007 is 60% Grenache, 20% Carignan, complemented by Merlot and Syrah. The Grenache and Carignan come from vines over 90 years old. It was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. Asian spices, incense, plum, blackberry and balsamic notes on the nose, in the racy Priorat style. Juicy, concentrated and well-proportioned, it will evolve for 1-2 years and drink well into 2019." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Remarkably well-balanced (you can't feel the 15.5° alcohol at all), but unfortunately spoiled by overly pronounced barrel ageing that overpowers everything else.

A great evolution on the nose and palate for this wine from opening to an hour later, tasting every quarter of an hour. In any case, it didn't find favor in my eyes...
