"In 2005, Lar de Paula Merus.4 opens the winery's international style. Opaque purple in color, it was aged for 18 months in one-third new French and American barrels. Aromas of toasted oak, scorched earth, minerals, blueberry and black cherry for a medium- to full-bodied, tight, dense extract with plenty of structure. Notes of spicy black fruit follow through to a long finish. Cellar for 5-6 years and drink through 2025. (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)
