Rueda
Rueda is a Denomination of Origin located in the Castilla y Léon region of Spain. The Denominación de Origen label was granted to Rueda wines in 1980. It was the first official designation of origin in this region.

The Rueda terroir produces mainly white wines from Verdejo (85% minimum), Palomino, Viura and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The production municipalities are mainly Rueda, La Seca and Serrada, although the appellation area is much larger.

For the production of RuedaThe Verdejo grape has a thick, resistant skin, rich in aromas. Pellicular maceration is most often used to optimize the aromatic quality of this grape variety. Rich in glycerine, it is full-bodied, with a fresh finish. The wines offered by Bodegas Ossian have all these qualities.

Since 2008, the DO Rueada label can also be granted to red or rosé wines produced within the appellation perimeter.

This Ossian white presents itself in a light gold livery, with a toasty, leesy, very mineral perfume on the nose, with notes of baker's baking spice, apricot and tropical scents. The palate is energetic, harmonious, creamy and fresh, savory and long, in a word: perfect... One of Spain's finest whites, a must-discover!

Columela is the estate's second cuvée, 100% Verdejo, with 85% of the vines free-standing (not grafted), this 2009 is characterized by its fine aromas of white flowers and fine notes of almonds. The grape variety brings a lot of personality, with good acidity and freshness. A splendid Rueda to discover!
