"A true ambassador for the Ratti estate and the Barolo appellation!

"Made from vines just outside this modern estate with its exterior wood panelling and clean architectural lines, at the foot of the La Morra rise, this wine is Ratti's best-known and also his largest production, with 70,000 bottles produced. The 2019 Barolo Marcenasco shows the benefits of a stylistic overhaul that favors understated elegance and finesse. The wine is visibly leaner, opening with ethereal tones of blue flower, dried cherry, blood orange and chalky mineral. These little tweaks have opened up an exciting new chapter for Marcenasco." Domaine noté (guide 2022) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)

About the wine:

This Barolo is defined by the purity of its tart red fruits, which mingle with more delicate aromas of dried flowers and savory spices. The palate is robust and structured, with a solid core of ripe cherries mixed with dried tea leaves, finishing with vibrant acidity.

About the wine:

La Morra. Medium ruby with orange highlights. Red fruit on the nose, still a little in the background but already complex. Tight red fruit with firm but ripe tannins. For now, it's a little austere and needs more time, which this wine richly deserves. 2026-2038

About the wine:

This wine is very refined and integrated, with lots of chewy tannins, well blended into the wine. Flowers, strawberry and dried orange. A little candied strawberry and watermelon too. A little lacking in mid-palate depth, but it's all there. Drink after 2026.

About the wine:

The 2019 Barolo Marcenasco is spicy and fragrant with notes of cinnamon, fresh leather, red cherry and clove. It's expressive on the palate, with notes of wild berries, cedar and forest floor, and a ripe, well-balanced structure. Drink between 2025 and 2040.
