Barrua 2013 is a beautifully balanced, straightforward expression with dark fruit aromas that flow effortlessly from the bouquet. These notes of blackberry, plum, dried fig mingle with spice, tar, licorice and black olive. This vintage really works in terms of bouquet intensity and precision. The tannins are integrated, and the wine is textured and long.\" (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)","3.8/5 (4 reviews)","\"This is the estate's second wine, a tiny bit less formal than Barrua. Montessu 2015 is a blend of Carignan, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah. It is aged in barrels for up to a year. The wine reveals an almost black color with ruby highlights that glow from within. The Cabernet aromas of black fruits, spices, grilled herbs and black olives are instantly recognizable. The wine is structured and soft-textured. It grips the palate with firm intensity.\" (Wine Advocate 2017 - Robert Parker)","An expert selection","The best wines and champagnes rated by the greatest guides (Hachette, Gault Millau, La Revue du Vin de France, Bettane & Desseauve, Parker, Concours, ...).","Direct from the estates","For impeccable preservation, all the bottles of wine on sale on our site are still in the cellar of the winery or its merchant at the time of your purchase.","Wines at the best price","You always get the best price on the wines you buy on 1jour1vin , and if you find your wine cheaper on another site, we'll refund the difference.","Contact","Delivery","Help/FAQ","GTC","Privacy policy","Wine news","1jour1vin Reviews","Download application","Navigation problems","Manage my cookies","Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, and should be consumed in moderation.","1jour1vin - 2024"]}
In the mid-1980s, Sebastiano Rosa, oenologist at Tenuta San Guido (producer of Sassicaia), offered his services to Cantina di Santadi. It was then that theAgricola Punica project was born.
It wasn't until 2002, under the impetus of Giaccomo Tachis - a renowned Tuscan oenologist - thatAgricola Punica became official with the purchase of its first vineyards. These 170 hectares (of which 65 are planted with vines), divided into two estates: Barrua and Narcao, are located in the southern part of Sardinia known as Sulcis Méridionale.
Agricola Punica's wines come under the Isola dei Nuraghi PGI: Samas white, Montessu and Barrua red.
At the helm ofAgricola Punica are Sebastiano Rosa, Cantina Santadi, Tenuta San Guido (Sassicaia), Giaccomo Tachis and Antonello Pilloni (president of Cantina Santadi).
