Podere San Cristoforo

Set in the hills not far from the seaside, in the commune of Gavorrano, amid vineyards, olive groves and sunflower fields, the Domaine Podere San Cristoforo is characterized by the constant presence of wind, which is the property's key element for ripening the grapes. The soils of the Gavorrano hills have a very high clay content. Of the estate's 45 hectares Podere San CristoforoOnly 14 are planted with vines. Grape varieties include San Giovese, Petit Verdot and Syrah for the reds, and Vermentino and Trebbiano for the whites.

The vines have been cultivated biodynamically for many years, with low yields and exclusively manual work. All work is focused on the quality of the fruit. Lorenzo Zonin produces great Tuscan wines, extraordinary in their freshness and complexity. Podere San Cristoforo is destined to become one of Tuscany's most renowned estates.
