Domaine Caruso & Minini
Stefano Caruso and Mario Minini share the same ambition: to revive Marsala's centuries-old winegrowing tradition, one of the noblest in Italy. It is with great determination that the wines of Caruso and Minini Estate are capable of surprising with their originality, character and elegance.

A priceless heritage, the Giummarella and Cuttaia vineyards have been owned by the Caruso family for three generations: 120 hectares of hills halfway between Salemi and Marsala, 15 kilometers from the resort. The vineyards lie at the center of an area long known for its vocation to produce grapes suitable for transformation into fine wines.

In these hills, the work is always surprising: the variety of soils, the different exposures to wind and sun, the varying altitudes, all mean that we have to differentiate the cultivation systems and study the best combination of soil, climate and grapes. Since 2004, wine production has taken place, by choice and passion, in an ancient "Baglio" located in the heart of Marsala's traditional winery zone.

For men from Caruso and MininiWorking within these walls, built at the end of the 19th century to produce and protect wine, is not only a source of pride but also a great pleasure.

"Sachia (Perricone) 2008 is an intensely floral and vinous red, with a magnificent core of fruit, on roses and sweet herbs, followed by a long, refreshing finish. Very elegant, a very feminine Sicilian red". (The Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)
