Le Point
"Maceration and fermentation took place at low temperature, with a year's ageing in stainless steel vats. A beautiful, limpid, brilliant, soft red dresses this superb trousseau. Fresh fruit dominates from the very first nose. This freshness continues on the palate, which is ample and very fine, with delicate, silky tannins. The aromatic expression is magnificent but unpretentious, making this a very accessible wine. We really liked the 2018, but its successor does even better." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated 1*Star (A serious, commendable production, in keeping with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
He represents the tenth generation of Badoz at Poligny. Trained at the Lycée Viticole de Beaune, he returned to the domaine in 2003 and inaugurated the winery in 2004. It took some time to go organic, but certification was obtained in 2019. The domaine's vineyards are located in the Roussots and Grands Roussots districts. Half of the estate is planted with Savagnin, which doesn't mean you have to neglect the reds. On some cuvées, he takes barrel ageing a step further.

You have to get past the first nose (earthy, henhouse) to fully appreciate the crunchy fruit aromas; to do so, try it again the next day. The palate is round and simple, but long enough to finish smoothly.
