"A level above Cuvée 101, the 2012 Corbières Prioundo is a lovely wine with scents of kirsch, blackberry, toasted spices and baked earth. A full-bodied, supple wine with an impressively textured mouthfeel. Made from Grenache and Cinsault, aged 6 months in tank, the tannins are fine, the overall structure is imposing and the style, easy-drinking and gourmet." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Wine rated (2015 guide) 16.5/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (2023 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
Produced inland, based on Grenache and Cinsault grapes, the very fine Prioundo cuvée is elegant, natural and suave.
About the domain :
Paul Old cultivates these old vines between Corbières and Roussillon biodynamically. The minimalist approach in the cellar produces both highs (Prioundo and L'Extrême, in white) and lows, with gas saturation in certain cuvées and an occasional lack of clarity. The wines do, however, know how to age, and benefit from aeration.
