Alba, Aude in Occitan, expresses the quintessence of a parcel of old Grenache gris vines. This delicate rosé, made in the style of a white, is intense, with a subtle bouquet and impressive length on the palate, perfect for grilled fish.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
Pierre Bories has raised his family estate to the top of the Corbières appellation, and since 2001 has managed it with a master's hand, displaying the same determination and exacting standards in the vines as he does in the cellar. Consisting of a vast 150-hectare estate (including the former terroir of Château des Ollieux), some ten kilometers from Narbonne, the vineyard produces wines of great elegance, from the cuvée prestige to the cuvée or, right up to atal-sia, produced in the Corbières-Boutenac appellation, undeniably one of the estate's flagships. The entire range is on the same wavelength, including le-champ-de-murailles, making this one of our favorite addresses in the area.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté Award-winning wines (Wines from this producer regularly win awards in the guide)
About the domain :
Founded in 1860 in the Boutenac terroir, this vast family vineyard, originally a dependency of the Abbey of Fontfroide, has remained in the same family ever since. Since 1896, it has had its own cellar and barrel cellar, built with stones from the estate's own quarry. Jacqueline and François Bories relaunched the estate in the 1980s, joined in 2001 by their son Pierre. Cultivated without weedkillers or pesticides, the vineyard, in conversion to organic farming, covers 65 hectares.

Domaine noté (guide 2024) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Pierre Bories took over this vast family estate, enlarged in 2006 by the neighboring vineyard, Les Ollieux. A wide variety of terroirs, from clay and limestone to galets roulés and the Boutenac terroir (red sandstone and limestone), make this estate a must-have. Over the years, he has fashioned a complete range of wines, including Les Murailles, in a much cooler part of the appellation, and a more personal project with his eponymous domaine. Always full of projects, Pierre has completely renovated the estate and created La Touketa, a restaurant and tasting area in the heart of the vineyards, open seasonally.

Wine rated (guide 2024 ) 17/20
About the wine:
Like the Classique Rosé, this wine has great purity and an abundance of fruit, though it is a little less exuberant. It has a fine minerality reminiscent of chalk, with traces of dried thyme and sage on the finish. Oranges, especially on the finish. Graceful.

Very disappointing. Little body and aroma, with excessive acidity.

Rosé Prestige is already a model of its kind in Languedoc. Sensual and delicate, Cuvée Alba expresses itself in a different register, imbued with sensuality and delicacy. On a minerality wrapped in a basket of bright red fruits, the fleshy texture provides a soft, silky, almost milky sensation on the palate, and continues slowly before coming to rest on an unmistakable finish that is both powerful and elegant, with hints of mint and light lemon zest. A fine rosé for gourmet forks, with baked red mullet from the Côte Vermeille on a bed of tomatoes and onions, served with a Collioure anchovy sauce.
