Bettane & Desseauve

"The depth of color reflects the maturity of this blend of Syrah (majority), Grenache and Mourvèdre. Discreet at first, the nose opens with agitation to notes of stewed fruit, spices, garrigue and licorice. A full, frank attack introduces a powerful, generous palate of alcoholic fruit and roasted notes, with very fine, already silky tannins and a fine, filigree freshness". Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Wine rated (2016 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)

Domaine rated 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the wine:

Fresh on the palate, smoky bacon in a ripe ensemble. A very tasty success.

About the domain :

Jean-Philippe Granier provides technical advice to all Languedoc winegrowers. The family-run domaine, located in the Sommières area, offers perfectly clean, impeccably vinified wines, from igp to languedoc: it's in the quality of the entry-level wines that you recognize a good domaine. In reds, clémence is intense in flavor, jéricho sounds strong and displays perfectly controlled tannin, and camp-de-l'oste is a model for the sector. There's an obvious quest here for the taste and flavors that any wine from the region should express. A very safe address, all the more so as, in addition to the reds, the whites are just as consistent and the Parenthèse rosé is regularly exceptional.
