Domaine Bertrand-Bergé
Domaine Bertrand-Bergé is a family business located in Paziols, in the heart of the Fitou appellation. The winegrowing profession has been passed down with passion for six generations, and it is now Jérome Sabine Bertrand who have taken over the running of the estate.

The 33-hectare vineyard is planted on limestone soils dotted with pebbles. The vines have an average age of 60 years and produce low yields. The optimization of terroirs and grape varieties, the care given to the vines (organic farming), the respect for traditional methods and the acquisition of modern, adapted cellar equipment enable Domaine Bertrand-Bergé to offer a range of highly qualitative wines, and to set new standards in the quest for precision and depth.

The wines of Domaine Bertrand-Bergé are well known to enlightened wine-lovers across the globe.

"Refinement!"

"Mourvèdre adds its ardor to the classic fitou blend. The bouquet blends fruit, flowers and spices: prunes, peony, violets... A lovely symphony. The palate is lively, a reflection of this high-altitude land, the wood well controlled, letting jammy black fruit dominate, accompanied by notes of dried flowers and hazelnut. The finish lingers on a note of bitter orange". (Le Guide Hachette 2024).

"A fine representative of its appellation

Origines is the starting point for Jérôme Bertrand's approach, which not only asserts his belonging to the Paziols terroir in Languedoc Roussillon, but also pays homage to all the generations that have gone before. This juicy, powerful cuvée, with notes of candied fruit, is a pure delight to taste. Incredible value for money!

"A charming Fitou!

"La Boulière is richer, with notes of candied red fruit, vanilla and pepper. (Le Guide RVF 2023) This sure value comes from a high-altitude terroir on a sea of old pebbles dating from the Oligocene. A wine of great class, concentrated in substance and flavor (wild scents, intense, ripe fruit) and balanced by a mineral tannic structure.

"A beautiful personality

"95% Carignan (with Grenache in addition) adds depth to the intense garnet-red color of this cuvée. On the nose, notes of strawberry, cherry, musk and rhubarb rub shoulders with mineral and smoky nuances. From the outset, the palate is supple and round, then very fine tannins reveal themselves, bringing volume and personality to this wine of red fruit flavors". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2021) Fitou sur galets roulés, from the estate's finest terroirs!
