"A true Favorite for this enchanting cuvée, let yourself be seduced by the new vintage!"

A complex, deep wine on the nose, opening with aromas of spices and red and black fruits, reminiscent of redcurrant and blackcurrant. Dense, fresh and structured on the palate, with a long, spicy finish, power and character, supported by silky tannins.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2024) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))

About the domain :

Creisses refers to pebbles. Philippe Chesnelong took over this family estate in 1990. He is assisted by his cousin Louis Mitjaville, whose reputation has spread far beyond Saint-Émilion. The cuvée les-brunes is generally powerful, while the more immediate cuvée des creisses explodes with flavor. A truly fine address.

An unbeatable price-pleasure ratio for a particularly sought-after PGI in Languedoc. A skilful combination of red and black fruit flavors, mingled with spices and garrigue aromas, with a background of empyreumatic notes and a delicate touch of cocoa, blend harmoniously into a tannic framework combining elegance and balance. This exceptional cocktail, enhanced by a fine line of acidity, unfurls a savory juice and subtle freshness, with an ultra-silky touch that provides a beautiful sensation of suavity. Finally, an extra touch of spice enhances the flavors and boosts aromatic persistence. With its Mediterranean character and Médoc accent, this superb cuvée sublimated a mallard stuffed with foie gras and roasted winter vegetables in their own juice. Score = 4.7.
