About the domain :
Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette has 20 hectares of biodynamic vines, planted on terraces with low dry-stone walls known as "clapas". It is perched at an altitude of 350 m in the Larzac foothills. Julien Zernott and Delphine Rousseau settled here in 2003. With the help of the intense biodiversity of the surrounding area and the exclusive use of organic products, they work the vineyard in a way that respects nature.

Wine rated (guide 2025) 93/100
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
Mas Rousseau is dynamic, with a fine, toasty reduction, plenty of tension and lovely persistence.
About the domain :
Located in the north-western Terrasses du Larzac, in the beautiful area of Pégairolles de l'Escale and Lauroux, this 20-hectare estate has been owned by Julien and Delphine Zernott since 2003. The vineyard comprises some fifty terraces on limestone scree, with a high proportion of very old vines. This terroir is in good hands with this talented and determined couple. While the whites confirm their great elegance, all the reds presented this year are of the highest order, graceful, with exemplary tactile management and ageing.
