Old Cinsault is at the heart of this fruity cuvée, supported by Grenache, Syrah and Carignan. Jean-Baptiste Granier's signature wine is irresistibly greedy and unctuous. The fruit is sublimated and the terroir is fantastically enhanced by a beautiful freshness. A top-quality, top-price fruit bomb!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated (guide 2024) 94/100 (Vintage 2021)
Domain rated (2025 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Jean-Baptiste Granier makes one of the most exciting cinsaults, virtuosically cultivating a small dozen hectares since his debut in 2007, propelled by a certain Olivier Jullien. Delicious, floral finish, red fruit, licorice: the similarity of tactile sensations with Burgundy's great Pinot Noirs is obvious. It has all the hallmarks of a great wine, except for the price. The grand cuvée, made from Terrasses-du-Larzac, has not fallen into any of the classic traps of over-ripeness and over-extraction, and is right up there with the models of the genre, so close to equaling them. In just a few years, this white has established itself as one of the region's finest gastronomic wines.

Rated (guide 2024) 90/100 (Vintage 2021)
Domaine rated (2025 guide) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the domain :
The Vignes Oubliées project began in 2007, when Olivier Jullien and Jean-Baptiste Granier, then an intern at Mas Jullien, decided to vinify parcels of old vines at altitude in the Saint-Privat area for the first time. The vineyards were planted on abandoned schist and sandstone, which produced very fine grapes, but in small quantities, and did not meet the expectations of the local cooperatives. The trial was conclusive, the wine was baptized, and the adventure could continue: Jean-Baptiste will look after these old vines. They are now matured in a natural cave, a restored former oil mill. Expressions have been gently refined, to deliver wines with pure, deep mouthfeel.

A bucolic and singular cuvée, stamped by a young member of the GRANIER "tribe". With each sip of this playful troublemaker, a steady stream of enticing red fruits (pomegranate, redcurrant, raspberry) flows onto the palate with airy freshness and extreme finesse. The tannins, both frank and delicate, accentuate the sensation of suppleness of texture, on a fluid, slightly mineral framework that accompanies the tasting right through to the vibrant finish on the expression of intense, insistent fruitiness. It's a pity that the price is so high for a "Nature" wine that remains relatively simple. Decant 2 to 3 hours in advance. Highly digestible, this cuvée of pure pleasure will delight friends with sunny cuisine, such as spaghetti Milanese with Parmesan and basil, beef and mint bricks, not to mention a creamy moussaka with Lozère lamb sprinkled with grated pecorino romano. Rating = 4.1.
