"Young Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre vines (15 years old) have shaped a wine that is more elegant than powerful, with a gourmet nose of fresh black fruits, candy and dried herbs. Full-bodied and invigorating on the attack, the palate, perfectly softened by long ageing in vats (24 months), unreservedly delivers a very pleasant, gourmet fruitiness, to be savored without delay". (Guide Hachette des Vins 2021). A success with great potential!

About the domain :

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 26/09/2021
On an excellent 2017 vintage, a warm, suave and deep Minervois, with juicy flesh and tender, voluptuous texture, enveloped by crisp red fruits. Fine ageing brings a subtle hint of cocoa vanilla. Silky tannins. Long, peppery, liquorice finish, enhanced by fine spices. In the register of roundness and finesse, this Minervois de la Combe Blanche, just as powerful but fruitier than La Galine, is perfectly suited at 18° to roast pork with prunes. A score of 4.1 for this lovely cuvée, which respects the terroir and is one of the most competitively priced on the market.
