"Let yourself be seduced by this Saint-Chinian with its superb balance and suppleness.
"Praised last year for its Best of Belot, the domaine does it again with this Mouleyres, a plot selection aged for a year in new barrels. A luminous purplish color, delicate yet dashing aromas of sweet spices and morello cherry, this is a promising start. On the palate, it's a recital: a full attack, a fleshy, caressing mid-palate, silky tannins well coated by ageing, and a vanilla finish of unstoppable seduction. All this in a case of preserved freshness. Simply perfect and already irresistible. (Le Guide Hachette 2025).

Wine rated (guide 2024) 90/100
About the wine:
A juicy, fruity, playful red, a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. On the nose, notes of black cherries, bay leaves and baking spices. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. The berries are crisp, the mid-palate is lively and the finish succulent. Drink now.

Slender and deep on the palate, with a lively, fleshy envelope of candied black fruits (prunes, cherries and plums) mingled with spicy notes (cloves, black pepper) and a hint of bacon and smoke. Supple, powerful tannins, present but silky, with a hint of bitterness on the finish. A wine of rustic character, to be enjoyed now after decanting, with spicy dishes such as West Indian black pudding and homemade potato purée with pickled onions. Score = 3.7.

Score: 16/20
