"This 2013 opens with ripe red fruit, juniper and a hint of roasted coffee. The prelude to a mouth that's round, frank and taut. To be enjoyed in its youth with a dish in sauce that will erase the slight severity of the tannins on the finish." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017) A Saint-Chinian not to be missed!

Rated (2017 guide) 15/20 (Good wine)
Domain rated (guide 2024) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the domains that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
After advanced studies in biogenetics, ampelography and oenology, Cyril Bourgne began his career in Bordeaux (Château de Fieuzal) before embarking, with his wife Nadia, on a more personal viticultural adventure in the Languedoc. The vineyard is meticulously tended, and the vinifications now carried out in the new cellar, immersed in the Saint-Chinian landscape, enable the extraction of long, fine grapes. The precision of barrel ageing, introduced for the Grand Vin cuvée with its predominantly Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes, aims to renew the contemporary expression of Saint-Chinian.

I preferred the 2012, nevertheless a fairly good Q/P ratio.
