"A great way to showcase the Nantes terroir, to be enjoyed on any occasion!"

Granite 2023 presents an elegant nose of pronounced mineral notes, flint and citrus, with hints of salt. Crystal-clear and pure, the palate is slender, fat and complex, with great purity. Superb, long finish.

Bettane & Desseauve

3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

Frédéric Niger Van Herck, driven by a passion for wine, continues to pursue biodynamic viticulture on his 21 hectares. He brilliantly vinifies cuvées de terroir, named according to the type of soil on which they are produced. Whether expression-de-gneiss, expression-d'orthogneiss or expression-de-granite, these cuvées best express the natural, elegant minerality of their terroir. It's essential that the great vintages mature in the cellar. The reds take a back seat.

Rated wine (guide 2025) 91/100 (Vintage 2022)

Domaine rated (guide 2025) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the domain :

Having joined the domaine in 2009, Frédéric Niger benefited from the invaluable knowledge of emblematic winemaker Guy Bossard, the previous owner, until 2013. Since then, Frédéric has continued to cultivate the vines organically (since 1975) and biodynamically (certified in 1998), and to make his wines as naturally as possible. This is reflected in the fruit brightness and sincere aromatic openness of his unpretentious wines. In addition to the delightful Muscadets Classic, Granite, Orthogneiss and Taurus, the daring winemaker is experimenting with twenty-eight cuvées aged in amphora and/or foudres and concrete vats. These lively wines take us out of our comfort zone. Following a problem with the Muscadet appellation, the wines are now claimed as Vin de France.
