Château de la Guimonière
Château de la Guimonière, owned byAlain Château in the same way as Château de Varennes and Château Bellerive, is located in one of the Loire Valley's most remarkable appellations. After producing wines in the Anjou appellation, Château de la Guimonière now produces a sweet wine in the Chaume appellation, now replaced by the Coteaux du Layon Chaume appellation.

The vines of Château de la Guimonière overlook the Layon, planted on a sloping terroir. They awaken in autumn in the morning mist, only to be warmed by the sun. This microclimate is ideally suited to the development of overripe harvests. Château de la Guimonière has a brilliant yellow color. On the palate, the rich, complex attack reveals all the candied fruit and citrus aromas already revealed on the nose.

A Chaume with a brilliant orange-yellow color and a powerful, complex nose, revealing notes of exotic fruits (mango, passion fruit...). A red Anjou with notes of ripe black fruit on the nose, evolving towards more complex nuances of spice. The attack is velvety and silky, with a perfume of ripe fruit (blackcurrant and prune) and smooth tannins... A seductive bottle, a fine Loire expression!

This white Anjou opens on the nose with aromas of yellow fruit, apricot and peach in particular, honey and freshly cut white flowers. A full-bodied, smooth wine with notes of acacia and almond, which will shine with pan-fried scallops, for example, and most seafood...

An Anjou rosé with a luminous, crystal-clear color and salmon hues, offering notes of red berries (strawberry, redcurrant) and English candy on the nose. A round, suave wine, with a liveliness that offsets the mellowness, with a fresh finish of mint and pepper... An immediate pleasure!
