Domaine Pithon-Paillé
Domaine Pithon-Paillé was founded in early 2008 by Isabelle and Jo Pithon in partnership with Wendy and Joseph Paillé. Jo Pithon has been a winemaker for over 30 years, and Isabelle for 20 years. Joseph, Isabelle's son, has been working in the vineyards since the age of 13.
Domaine Pithon-Paillé cultivates 13 hectares of organically grown vines, certified by Qualité France. The vineyards are located in Saint-Lambert du Lattay (Bonnes Blanches), Saint-Aubin de Luigné (La Fresnaye), Beaulieu sur Layon (Coteau des Treilles), Rochefort sur Loire (Quarts de Chaume) and Savennières. The wines produced are aged in barrels and wooden vats for 10 to 18 months, depending on the cuvée.
To complete its range, Domaine Pithon-Paillé also buys grapes from partner winegrowers who also work organically. This requires a relationship of trust with the winegrowers and a good knowledge of the Loire Valley. Domaine Pithon-Paillé is thus able to offer Anjous, Crémants de Loire, Chinons, Bourgueils, Saumur-Champigny, and other wines.
