RVF
Far from the sparkling and mellow wines known from this grape variety, Fred Sigonneau has created a superb Chenin in search of purity and minerality in a surprising wine. A generous, voluminous attack, then tension leads the balance. A surprising and rare Chenin!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
Frédéric Sigonneau has brought the family domaine back to life: this neo-Chinese trained with Antoine Foucault. His six hectares in Cravant are certified organic, without going to the extremes of sulfur-free for most of the cuvées. The folies-du-noyer-vert are aged in wood, and aim for a short ageing period.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté Award-winning wines (Wines from this producer regularly win awards in the guide)
About the domain :
After spending two years in Spain (Dominio de Atauta in the Ribera del Duero), Frédéric Sigonneau founded his own estate in 2007, based on the vines of his family's Cravant-lès-Coteaux vineyard. His vineyard now covers 8 hectares, and is managed organically, with a tendency towards biodynamics.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2019 guide) 15/20 (Good wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2022) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
A tonic, half-powerful blend. Not a very powerful structure, but lively, floral and highly digestible fruit. More finesse than corpulence.
About the domain :
After a spell in Spain (Ribera del Duero with Bertrand Sourdais), Frédéric Sigoneau returned to his native region and took over a few plots in Cravant-les-Coteaux in 2007. His approach to vineyard management and winemaking is as natural as possible. Today, the domaine has reached cruising speed with several characterful cuvées. Frédéric's acute sense of fruitiness is already apparent in the cuvée Les 5 Éléments. Try one of the rare bottles of Les Mains Sales, for a voluptuous experience.
