Planted in 2001, part of this selection of Roussanne comes from the Bergeron (Savoyard name) of the Quénard family in Savoie. Its southern exposure and volcanic soil ensure optimum ripeness. The palate is full-bodied, generous and complex, with fine aromatic nuances (bergamot, green tea, fresh apricot). Finally, marked by the mineral character of its basalt terroir, this fine, delicate cuvée will dazzle many!

About the domain :
Gilles Bonnefoy created his estate from scratch in 1997, planting vines from 2001 to 2016 and setting up the winery in 2004. Today, a 10.5-hectare biodynamic estate, set on the outskirts of 2 volcanoes: La Madone and Le Pigeonnier.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (guide 2021) 16.5/20 (Very good wine)
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
Roussanne is far more ambitious, exotic and sparkling. Its restraint promises a bright future within ten years.
About the domain :
Les Vins de la Madone is one of the most exciting experiences in Côtes du Forez, a discreet appellation located between Saint-Étienne and Clermont-Ferrand, at the gateway to the Livradois-Forez natural park. Gilles Bonnefoy strives to capture the sparkling purity of fruit, both in his Gamay reds and in his whites (IGP d'Urfé), a Roussanne and a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. This radiance, drawn from granite and volcanic soils, is achieved through biodynamic vineyard management (certified in 2008) and vinification partly in whole bunches, with ageing exclusively in vats. The star of this domaine is firmly set.
