"A superb blend of Sauvignons on volcanic terroir, with impressive freshness".
"Sauvignons gris (60%) and blanc blended to give this volcanic white a clean, frank nose of fresh fruit, citrus in particular, and white flowers. On the palate, roundness and liveliness, suppleness and lightness; in short, balance and a profile that's easy to love." (Le Guide Hachette 2025). This cuvée is sure to charm you!

About the wine:
Sauvignon gris (60%) and blanc blended to produce this volcanic white with a clean, straightforward nose of fresh fruit, citrus in particular, and white flowers. On the palate, roundness and liveliness, suppleness and lightness; in short, balance and a profile that's easy to love.
About the domain :
Gilles Bonnefoy created his estate from scratch in 1997, planting vines from 2001 to 2016 and setting up the winery in 2004. Today, a 10.5-hectare biodynamic estate, set on the outskirts of 2 volcanoes: La Madone and Le Pigeonnier.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
Les Vins de la Madone is one of the most exciting experiences in Côtes du Forez, a discreet appellation located between Saint-Étienne and Clermont-Ferrand, at the gateway to the Livradois-Forez natural park. Gilles Bonnefoy strives to capture the sparkling purity of fruit, both in his Gamay reds and in his whites (IGP d'Urfé), a Roussanne and a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. This radiance, drawn from granite and volcanic soils, is achieved through biodynamic vineyard management (certified in 2008) and vinification partly in whole bunches, with ageing exclusively in vats. This estate's star is firmly set.

An excellent choice for analyzing a volcanic terroir and a lesser-known appellation and varietal associations. Turn the glass, smell, discuss if you're surrounded by purists...the bottle is empty. An excellent moment for sharing this wine
