Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 5*Stars (Exceptional producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the domain :
After the death of his father, a charismatic figure in world winegrowing, Jean-Philippe Blot took up the reins alone, aided by a close-knit technical and cultural team. This is the best way to ensure the continuity of this flagship estate in the French wine world, which shines with wines that are always well-balanced, displaying great aromatic intensity and depth.

About the wine:
Montlouis-sur-Loire Les Hauts de Husseau 2022 comes from a site where the vines are between 80 and 110 years old. It's a finely perfumed, silky wine that feels smooth and easy on the mid-palate, before developing structure on the finish. The limestone nature of the soil gives it a fine layer of texture and structure, giving it persistence and line. The finish is long, calm and concentrated, with notes of pastry, ripe apple and chalky citrus.
