Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2024 guide) 90/100
Domain rated (guide 2024) 1 (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
In the Muscadet region, Frédéric Lailler continues to forge ahead, growing his ten hectares of vines organically. The vineyard assets are impressive in terms of quality (six hectares on the gabbros of Gorges and one hectare in the granite sector of Clisson). The average age of the vineyard is around 65 years. With prices ranging from 7 to 14 euros, you'll want to be quick to build up a good cellar fund.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 89/100
Domain rated (guide 2024) 2 (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the domains that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the wine:
In Muscadet, Original 2022 enchants us with its fruity tenderness, its freedom of tone and an appealingly crunchy texture.
About the domain :
Frédéric Lailler has kept the name of the domaine in homage to its former owner, Michel Brégeon, who in 2011 passed on to him his vines, on average 65 years old, spread across the Clisson (granite) and Gorges (gabbro) areas. These two local crus are showcased in tasty, relaxed whites that are invigoratingly full-bodied, a far cry from their muscadet counterparts.

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 08/11/2023
Without great ambition, this entry-level Muscadet does the job by emphasizing freshness and natural fruit from the outset. It continues in a linear fashion on a background of measured minerality. A hint of bitterness adds a refreshing vivacity that is eagerly awaited in the long finish. However, the whole lacks a touch of stony tonicity, depth and, in short, originality. Average value for money. This very light Muscadet was simply paired with Bouchot mussels - home fries. Marennes Oléron oysters au gratin with Parmesan cheese would have been just as appropriate. Score = 3.5.
