Domaines Landron

Domaine Landron was founded in 1945 by Joseph Landron's father, Pierre, and his uncle, Julien. At the outset, the vineyard covered 3 hectares, which they cultivated intensively in a modern way. In 1979, Jo Landron moved in with his father and developed the estate by buying up plots.

In 1987, following a physiological accident that damaged the vines, Joseph Landron decided to stop using weedkillers for good, and began ploughing the soil.

1999 marked the start of the vineyard's conversion to organic viticulture, with the first certification in 2002. Biodynamic certification comes into effect with the 2011 vintage.

Today, Domaines Landron covers 48ha of vines.

Aged on lees for a year, "Les Houx" boasts remarkable aromatic intensity. Notes of ripe citrus fruit evolve with fatness, giving structure and complexity to this nervous, fresh and iodized Muscadet. Excellent value for money.

With its long ageing on lees, Fief du Breil has more evolved, smoky notes than Jo Landron's other Muscadets. The lively attack gives way to fruit with a wild, racy edge. It's hardly surprising that this is the flagship of the estate's wines. Recognized by the press from vintage to vintage, this is a cuvée not to be missed!

Haute Tradition is the perfect result of the combination of a quartz terroir, Melon de Bourgogne and a committed winemaker. After nearly a year's ageing on lees, this cuvée is full-bodied and well-balanced, with a lively attack. Would benefit from a little cellar ageing to discover smoky, spicy notes.

Mainly made from Folle Blanche, the Pays Nantais grape variety from which Gros Plant originates, Atmosphères is a fine, fresh brut sparkling wine. The combination with Pinot Noir brings a light fruitiness that delights the palate. A perfect companion for summery aperitifs.

From a 4-hectare plot surrounded by an orthogneiss wall, Clos la Carizière has undergone very little human intervention. With no chemical treatments in the vineyard and indigenous yeasts in the cellar, this Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine is the reflection of its terroir: a clear mineral signature emerges. Ideal with a seafood platter.

(2013 vintage notes)

Amphibolite is a lively, mineral wine. Unchaptalized, like the estate's other cuvées, it perfectly expresses its green rock terroir. One sip calls for another, for a wine to be enjoyed in its youth.

(2013 vintage notes)

La Louvetrie is aged on lees for 6 months, giving it a rich, dry character. A subtle frizziness adds freshness and liveliness to this cuvée. The mineral notes so characteristic of the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation are supported by elegant citrus aromas. A fresh wine to drink young.
