Domaine Paul Prieur & Fils
Winegrowers in Sancerre for 11 generations, the domaine Paul Prieur & Fils is located at the top of the village of Verdigny, at the foot of the Monts Damnés hill. Today, Luc Prieur runs the estate (since the 2012 vintage) with a sincere, passionate and artisanal approach. The Sauvignon Blanc vines are concentrated on the limestone terroirs of Verdigny and Chavignol over 14.5 hectares (Caillottes and Terres Blanches), as well as on the flinty terroirs of the village of Thauvenay, on the banks of the Loire.

The reds are produced in the "Les Pichons" vineyard. This 5-hectare plot is a virtual monopoly of the Paul Prieur & Fils estate, planted in the 1950s using massal selection. It adjoins the estate and is situated below the Monts Damnés hill. The estate's vines are grown using traditional methods and are 100% organic. The first AB-certified vintage will be produced in 2022. No weedkillers, insecticides or anti-feed treatments are used.

This spring bottling already reveals a full, fruity wine with an expressive, fresh nose and bewitching aromas of white fruit, white flowers and citrus. The palate is lively and elegant, with good volume, smoothness and richness. A sure thing to discover!

" Favorite !"

" High in color and dense, the 2018 red impresses while retaining crisp tannins. A wine to decant and to serve at the table." (Le Guide RVF 2023) A concentrated, vinous cuvée from a sunny vintage, made with 40% whole bunches. Enjoy it with a fine piece of meat!
