" This producer's best red wine is impressive. Fragrant, mellow and ripe but still with acidity, the wood-aged wine is elegant and spicy. The ripe tannins hold the wine together, and give it the structure supporting the richness. Drink now. (Wine Enthusiast)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
With each passing vintage, the Roblin brothers assert themselves with greater regularity. The vineyard, mainly composed of white soils, covers 17 hectares on the slopes of Maimbray and Sury-en-Vaux. Special mention goes to the original white, which offers a very fine Sauvignon. An interesting address at reasonable prices.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2019 guide) 2*Stars (Outstanding wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2020) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the wine:
Aeration dissipates the animal touches perceived on the first nose. Beautiful aromas of cooked fruit (strawberry, fig) and a hint of caramel are revealed. From the outset, the palate presents a fleshy texture in harmony with fine, well-distributed tannins that carry through to the finish.
About the domain :
Matthias Roblin took over this family estate, whose origins date back to the 18th century, in 2000. His brother Émile joined him six years later. The vineyard extends over 19 hectares, which are cultivated "using integrated farming methods with an organic bias".
