As with the reds, the rosé is a 100% Pinot Noir. The 2010 version boasts a lovely, bright color. It flatters us with a nose of red berries and delights us with a balanced palate combining fruit and freshness. A pleasant rosé to serve as an aperitif or with an assortment of charcuterie.

Domaine Vacheron
Sancerre
Expert opinion
Guide des Vins Gault & Millau
Estate rated (2012 guide) 5*Stars (Outstanding production)
About the domain :
"The estate produces a good two-thirds white and one-third red wines from some 45 hectares, making it one of the region's leading estates. The Vacheron quartet also offers high-quality wines, made with sauvignons and pinots noirs from organic and biodynamic farming."
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Estates rated (2011 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
"The first Sancerre estate to be certified biodynamic since 2006. Jean-Dominique Vacheron, who is more involved in viticulture, works in duo with his cousin Jean-Laurent, an oenologist who cut his teeth with the great Burgundy estates. While their red Sancerre wines are often the talk of the town, their highly mature whites are not to be outdone. They reveal themselves to be mineral, with a fine consistency in the powerful cuvée Les Romains, from one of Sancerre's finest, sunniest terroirs, an expression of flinty clay. Vinification takes place in wooden vats, which enhances the tightness of Sauvignons grown on flint. Extraction and ageing of the reds lead to a certain rigidity in their youth, rather like the wines of Domaine Trapet in Burgundy. In any case, they should be kept for at least two to four years. The domaine is closing in on its second star.
