"A treat!"

From the very first nose, Cuvée Bavardages is an aromatic bomb! Airy, straightforward blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, with floral notes. The body is fine, slender, with very little tannin. A wine of immediate pleasure, with a fresh finish!

Domaine rated (guide 2024) Tasting Review

About the domain :

From her father, she inherited a taste for terroir and soil. In the Saumur region, the Germain name naturally evokes the famous Roches Neuves estate in Varrains. Jeanne, the youngest daughter of the charismatic Thierry Germain, began her story four years ago with Ben and Comtesse, two Ardennes horses, in the field of animal-drawn agricultural services. It was her father who passed on to her the sensitivity and character that enable her to work the soil with these two big fellows: a total of seven hectares of Roches Neuves and eight other Anjou estates. In addition, Jeanne needed a bit of winemaking to blossom. She has been working on this since 2019. In 2020, she will make her second Foulée, a delicious microcuvée of gently extracted Cabernet Franc.
