"A perfect match for seafood thanks to its elegance, tension and freshness".
Fresh and elegant on the nose and palate, with citrus aromas. Created in 2004, Valençay is the only AOC to feature both a wine and a cheese, the characteristic pyramid-shaped goat cheese. A perfect match for this white wine, 100% Sauvignon, fruity and gourmet to perfection.

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated wine (guide 2023) 90/100
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
Caressing roundness on the palate with just the right amount of tension behind. Excellent with goat's cheese.
About the domain :
With 17 hectares, Bertrand Minchin, a jovial and engaging winegrower, is one of the established names in the Menetou-Salon and Valençay appellations. With each passing vintage, he refines the style of his reds, which are among the best in the area, while his imposing, structured whites gain in precision. Superb value for money.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (guide 2025) 2*Coup de Coeur (Outstanding wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2024) Cité (Vin réussi)
About the wine:
Sauvignon Blanc grown in gravelly soils over flinty clay, in a sunny vintage and in the hands of a good winemaker, gives this tasty, generous white wine, with unbridled aromas of white flowers and exotic fruit. A wine of unstoppable seduction, which coats the palate with unctuous, round flesh without lacking in freshness. A touch of smoke prolongs the pleasure with a remarkably long finish. Irresistible.
About the domain :
An established name in the menetou-salon appellation with his Dom. la Tour Saint-Martin, Bertrand Minchin, equally at ease with reds and whites, has been established since 1987 at the head of 17 ha of vines on the heights of Morogues, in conversion to organic farming. In 2004, he expanded into the Valençay appellation with the 15 ha of Claux Delorme, in Selles-sur-Cher, and quickly established himself as a benchmark.

Domaine noté (guide 2024) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Bertrand Minchin is based in Morogues, a Menetou-Salon cru, with domaine La Tour Saint Martin, and also in Valençay (Claux Delorme) - two operations grouped together under Domaines Minchin. The Valençays are joyful and upright: the Menetou-Salon cuvées are vinified with precision. The Sauvignons reflect the expression of their place thanks to a meticulous touch, as in the skilfully crafted reds. Since 2022, the estate has been certified Organic.

Good minerality, conclusive experience for an unknown appellation, the price remains attractive, so let's not deprive ourselves!

A very pleasant discovery of this fresh, lively cuvée, boosted by acidity and the saline character of its irresistible structure, which titillates the taste buds and supports the lemony, floral notes that are expressed not just halfway through. Ample, supple texture and a tonic finish, all finesse and lightness. Let's take advantage of its attractive price while this recent appellation remains relatively unknown. Summer suits it well, as do seafood dishes, such as a pan-fried clams from the Ile de Noirmoutier with parsley. Score = 3.9.
