About wine:
Sauvignon blanc grown on gravelly clay and flint soils, in a sunny vintage and in the hands of a skilled winemaker, produces this flavorful, generous white wine with unrestrained aromas of white flowers and exotic fruits. An irresistibly seductive wine, it coats the palate with a creamy, round texture without losing any of its freshness. A hint of smoke prolongs the pleasure in a remarkably long finish. Irresistible.
About the estate:
A sure bet in the Menetou-Salon appellation with his Domaine La Tour Saint-Martin, Bertrand Minchin, equally at ease with reds and whites, has been established since 1987 at the head of 17 hectares of vineyards on the heights of Morogues, currently converting to organic farming. In 2004, he expanded into the Valençay appellation with the 15 hectares of Claux Delorme in Selles-sur-Cher, where he quickly established himself as a benchmark producer.

About the estate:
Bertrand Minchin is based in Morogues, in the Menetou-Salon appellation, with the La Tour Saint Martin estate, and also in Valençay (Claux Delorme) – two estates that are part of Domaines Minchin. The Valençays are lively and straightforward, while the Menetou-Salon wines are vinified with precision. The Sauvignons reflect the expression of their terroir thanks to careful craftsmanship, as do the skillfully crafted reds. The estate has been certified Organic since 2022.

A very pleasant discovery, this fresh and lively wine is boosted by its acidity and the salty character of its irresistible structure, which tickles the taste buds and supports the lemon and floral notes that are expressed loud and clear. Full-bodied, supple texture and a lively finish, all finesse and lightness. Let's take advantage of its attractive price while this recent appellation remains relatively unknown. It goes well with summer and seafood, such as a pan-fried dish of clams from the island of Noirmoutier with parsley. Rating = 3.9.
