4/5 (2 reviews)
1*Étoile Hachette
-
90/100 Bettane & Desseauve
Named after the very first plot cultivated, this cuvée is a meticulous blend of 4 grape varieties: Gamay, Côt, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir. Bertrand Minchin and his daughter Hortense, like Swiss watchmakers, continue to perpetuate the tradition. Tasting reveals ripe fruit and hints of spice. The palate is round and fresh, with dense, fine tannins.

2*Coup de Coeur Hachette
-
90/100 Bettane & Desseauve
Fresh and elegant on the nose and palate, with citrus aromas. Created in 2004, Valençay is the only AOC to feature both a wine and a cheese, the characteristic pyramid-shaped goat cheese. A perfect match for this white wine, 100% Sauvignon, fruity and gourmet to perfection.
Minchin La Tour Saint Martin - Menetou-Salon Pommerais 2022

Tart and spicy red fruit notes intermingle to give juicy burlat cherry aromas on aeration. The definition of gourmandise and freshness. Pommerais is the flagship wine of Domaines Minchin.

4.5/5 (2 reviews)
92/100 Decanter
-
91/100 Bettane & Desseauve
Morogues blanc, one of the cuvées representing the DNA of Domaine de la Tour Saint Martin. Typical Sauvignon notes are present on the first nose, with hints of iodine. The palate is generous, with lovely bitters behind a full, rich body. Tart and refreshing character.
Bertrand Minchin - Le Claux Delorme Valençay Rouge 2016
3.4/5 (21 reviews)
2*Étoiles Hachette
-
16/20 Bettane & Desseauve
"This Valençay reveals a flattering nose of black fruit and cherry brandy. Round, fleshy, supported by smooth, velvety tannins, the palate combines power and freshness, with a long finish. Good character and potential ". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019). Claux Delorme's Valençay rouge brings together the 4 grape varieties of the AOC: Gamay, Côt, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir, grown on a flinty clay terroir. The result is a complex, dense and precise cuvée with very round fruit. Ideal for discovering this little-known appellation.
Bertrand Minchin - Le Claux Delorme Valençay Blanc 2018
3.6/5 (9 reviews)
16/20 Bettane & Desseauve
Fresh and elegant on the nose and palate, with aromas of citrus fruit and honeysuckle. Created in 2004, Valençay is the only AOC to feature both a wine and a cheese, the characteristic pyramid-shaped goat's cheese. A perfect match for this white wine, 100% Sauvignon, fruity and delicious.
Albane et Bertrand Minchin - Touraine Franc du Côt-Lié 2007
3.3/5 (3 reviews)
Notes : Bettane & Desseauve 16.5/20, RVF 15/20
"This wine, both profound and gourmand, is best drunk in large gulps, on a Paulée de Chartres evening. By the second magnum, you'll be waving your napkin in satisfaction. A Rabelaisian wine". (Le Grand Guide des Vins de France 2010 - Bettane & Desseauve). Old vines of Côt and Cabernet Franc, carefully aged without heaviness, give us this superb cuvée with its original name. A generous, powerful wine, perfectly balanced, to be enjoyed now or over the next 5 to 7 years...
