Expert opinion
Decanter
Wine rated (guide 2022) 94/100
About the wine:
A hint of smoke appears on the nose, accompanied by red cherries and a promise of richness. Further aeration brings a floral perfume. Concentration is high, and the tannins are very fine. This wine is powerful, with ripe, juicy cherries, and lively, with very structured tannins. The 20-year-old vines spent 16 months in 25% new French oak.

Vinous A. Galloni
Wine rated (guide 2023) 92/100
About the wine:
Calvert Pinot Noir 2021 is a highly perfumed wine, with floral, wild herb, fennel and licorice notes creating interesting nuances with the red cherry and raspberry that reveal themselves on the finish. The quality of the tannins is refined and has the impression of coating the palate with a cocoa powder-like finesse. The palate is long and drawn out, with taut acidity.
