Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
This 33-hectare family estate, located in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer, was founded in 1892 on the family lands of Marquis Bernard de Pissy. Initially a mixed farming operation, the estate now consists exclusively of vines. Antonin, the fifth generation, is passionately involved in the running of this beautiful estate, which surrounds one of the world's finest golf courses, Dolce Frégate. The wines have been progressing for several vintages and are now among the appellation's best values.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated wine (guide 2021) 1*Star (Vintage 2019) (Very successful wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2021) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
"Between sea and stone" is the name of this estate, which has been in the same family since 1882. The name comes from the old Provençal word fragato ("broken"), in reference to the strimming work required to plant the vines. The Grande Bleue, omnipresent here, borders the estate, whose vineyards cover 30 ha, straddling the Saint-Cyr and Bandol regions.
