"An exceptional aging potential for this Bandol rosé; to be discovered and rediscovered year after year!"

"The 2023 Bandol Rosé from Domaine Terrebrune exudes aromas of spices, grapefruit, pomegranate, red berries, and rose petals, followed by a medium-bodied to full-bodied palate that is supple and enveloping, taut and crystalline, with a long, delicate, and enticing finish. It is a fragrant and refined Bandol rosé." (Wine Advocate 2024)

4-star estate (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

A terroir within a terroir—that sums up Terrebrune, a cherished estate run by Reynald Delille and Jean d'Arthuis. Located in Ollioules, this estate near the Mediterranean benefits from sea breezes and first-rate limestone soil. No muscle, no overly colorful hues, but wines imbued with sensitivity, which need to be given time to express themselves in terms of aromas. More recently, it is Julien Paul, the brilliant technical director, who has brought out the triad and refined the precious grain of Terrebrune. The 2019 vintage stands at the pinnacle of refined and delicate Bandols.

Rated estate (2024 guide) Green Guide (They represent the excellence of French vineyards. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical moment.)

About wine:

It is certainly one of the most radiant rosés in the Mediterranean region, with a fragrance that matches its colorful appearance, a brilliant bouquet, and a luscious mid-palate with delicious spices.

About the estate:

Located in the commune of Ollioules, the estate has 35 hectares of vineyards planted on terraces facing the Mediterranean Sea, which are cultivated using organic farming methods. The vineyard benefits from clay-limestone marl soil from the Triassic period, unique to Bandol, which gives it a distinctive style. The property is located just a few kilometers from the sea and benefits from sea spray, ideal for Mourvèdre grapes.

This bright and full-bodied Bandol 2023 impresses with its enveloping and delicate flesh, bursting with flavors of crushed strawberries, apricots, and spices, and stretches out on a framework of great freshness and beautiful volume towards an equally delicious finish stimulated by a hint of iodine. Although young, this refined and racy rosé has already been a huge hit alongside bouillabaisse. Rating = 4.5.

Review and opinion by Mr. MATHIEU W. Published on 09/19/2025

Beautiful Bandol pink. Melon pink from the melons of the region. Nose: immediately garrigue, Mediterranean impressions, melon, spiciness, earthiness, terroir. Layered and complex. On the palate, everything is repeated, lots of substance, spiciness, saltiness, coating, powerful yet elegant. Here too, layered and complex. Long finish. This is not a terrace rosé (although I would drink it there too ????), but a serious wine that I will soon be serving with my homemade fish soup. Score: 17.5/20
