Château Bas
Located on an ancient Gallo-Roman city steeped in history, in the heart of the Aix-en-Provence vineyards, the Château Bas has many attractions. The 65-hectare vineyard is composed of two distinct terroirs, one deep, silty around Château Bas and the more stony Badasset terroir, in the shape of a cirque backing onto the Guillène cliff.

Since 2010, the entire Château Bas vineyard has been farmed organically to promote soil life and preserve biodiversity. The three main red grape varieties are Grenache, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Syrah, complemented by Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Counoise. White wines are made mainly from Sauvignon, Rolle, Grenache blanc, Ugni blanc, Clairette and Bourboulenc.

In 2020, the Castéja group, a major player in Bordeaux wines, acquired this incredible Provencal gem on a 300-hectare estate.

"Hats off to this red with southern accents!"

The nose delivers an aromatic bouquet oscillating between spicy notes, cedar and mint, and berries such as blueberry. The attack on the palate is sweet, with a supple, powerful mid-palate that evolves into a long finish.

"A bewitching white with brilliant aromas".

Green melon, apple, green mango and lemon all jostle for position in the glass. Its liveliness makes it easy to digest. Ideal as an aperitif or with fish.

"A rosé with character

In a magical setting, on the remains of an ancient Roman temple, Château Bas produces the cuvée rosé Pierres du Sud. This Syrah-Mourvèdre blend is powerful and complex on the nose, with hints of red berries, rose and spices. The palate is round and vinous, with fine balance and an incredible long, peppery finish.
