"In 2007, Patrick Brunel and his son Maxime (Château de la Gardine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape) set up this wine merchant's house, which offers wines from all over the valley, from north to south. Made from Grenache (55%) and Syrah grapes, this Cairanne immediately wins you over with its engaging nose of crushed raspberry and undergrowth. The palate is savory and very long, backed by fine, silky tannins that give it great suppleness and elegance". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015)

"Remarkable" and even 2** according to the Guide Hachette. But still? A little Cairanne to drink with friends, in my humble opinion, far from the Peyres Blanches 2011 from Perrin or the Cairanne from Marcel Richaud, powerful yet harmonious.

Excellent value for money, very good balance between power and smoothness. A true Gem du Rhône to be warmly recommended!
