« Grenache noir et Mourvèdre s'entendent à merveille dans cette cuvée sombre de robe mais lumineuse au nez avec ses notes croquantes de grenadine et de cassis. On s'en délecte tout autant dans une bouche épanouie, ronde à l'attaque, chaleureuse, gorgée de fruit en confiture, resserrée en finale par des tanins bien proportionnés. About the wine :

Silky-smooth and true to form, its aromas of black fruits, spices, garrigue and liquorice lead to a long, finely structured finish.

About the domain :

Christèle Plantevin loves food and wine. She first had a professional life before returning to Cairanne to take over this family estate dating from 1902, where the garrigue terroir (red clay in the subsoil and pebbles on the surface) gives power and complexity to her wines. By limiting yields, the richness and typicity of both red and white wines are preserved.

About the wine :

Grenache Noir and Mourvèdre get on wonderfully well in this cuvée, dark in color but luminous on the nose with its crisp notes of grenadine and blackcurrant. It's just as enjoyable on the palate, which is full-bodied, round on the attack, warm, bursting with jammy fruit, and tightened on the finish by well-proportioned tannins. Powerful, greedy, complete, the jury succumbs to the charm of Galante.

About the domain :

Christèle Plantevin returned to the family estate, founded in 1902, in 1997, after ten years in marketing for major food companies. At the head of 50 ha of vines, she represents the fifth generation.

A wine with character, warm and pleasant to drink. I'd rate it 3.5 glasses if possible, but at less than 10 euros, the 4 glasses are justified.
