"On the nose, it expresses race, lace and, above all, superior length of flavor. A cuvée with strength and finesse. The fruit is perfectly preserved. Magnificent selection of pure old Grenache vines (80 years) on sandy soil". (Le Guide des bonnes affaires du vin 2016 - Gerbelle & Maurange)

Domain de la Biscarelle
Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated (2016 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than its predecessor)
About the domain :
Situated in the terroirs close to Orange, the 5 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape include vines over a hundred years old, which explains the intensity of the 2012 presented. The Côtes-du-Rhône from the same estate are also remarkable, and the young winemaking couple now in charge are working in exemplary fashion. Before this wine becomes too well known, give it a chance in your cellar.

Disappointing wine, flat nose, alcoholic palate with no length. No interest at all, far from the appellation's standards.

A disappointing wine, a little dull and above all alcoholic.
