Robert Parker

"In the Gasparri family since 1920, this consistently high-quality estate has reached a milestone with this remarkable cuvée from start to finish. The dark, dense color heralds a fine concentration. The nose, both powerful and elegant, blends red and black fruits, garrigue, fresh leather and a few animal touches. Ample and long, the palate charms with its softness and richness, underlined by well-established yet velvety tannins. A model of harmony, this wine will gain in complexity over the next five years". Domaine noté (guide 2013) Sélectionné (An estate or house that has won us over with one or more wines from its production, without us being able to give a general opinion on the style of the entire range)

About the domain :

The domaine is not spread over a single hillside, even if it is angelic, but over several well-situated parcels in the southern and central parts of the appellation. He also owns two and a half hectares of Côtes du Rhône. All this has progressed well.

Tasted with a spicy Reunionese dish, this wine was very fruity but still young and aggressive. The tannins should soften within 2 years.
