Domaine La Célestière
Owned by the Joyce family, La Célestière is a 26-hectare vineyard covering the Vin de Pays, Côtes-du-Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellations.

In 2010, the estate began its conversion to organic viticulture, with certification of the first vintages in 2013. La Célestière's old vines, planted between 1918 and 1920, are not subjected to chemical fertilizers, pesticides or weedkillers.
Thanks to modern winemaking equipment, La Célestière wines are made in the purest respect for regional traditions: the reds have very little wood influence, as they are matured in concrete, demi-muids or foudre.

"The sweetest, richest, most hedonistic and intellectually flattering of the 3 cuvées is the 2010 Châteauneuf-du-Pâpe Les Domaines. Gourmet blackberry and kirsch aromas intertwined with roasted herbs, licorice and camphor are followed by a super Châteauneuf-du-Pape, rich, multidimensional and full-bodied. This proves the seriousness of the owners' work." (Wine Advocate 2012 - Robert Parker)

"The 2010 Châteauneuf du Pape La Croze has an even more intense violet color as well as a more tannic, structured and viandé style. With full-bodied power added to richness, purity and intensity, the 2010 will need some time in the cellar but should drink well for the next 20 years." (Wine Advocate 2012 - Robert Parker)

"The nose is an aromatic complex of ripe red and black berries, sprinkled with spices and empyreumatic fragrances. On the palate, density and a lovely tannic structure enable the wine to achieve harmony and fullness. Long, fruity, liquorice finish". (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2014 - Gault Millau)
