"A wine of great depth
"Yves' Condrieu Les Chaillets 2022 is absolutely brilliant, and I'd compare it to the best wines in the appellation. Ripe, intense aromas of ripe pineapple, honeyed flowers, orange blossom and subtle floral notes all define the bouquet, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a structured, seamless mouthfeel, magnificent concentration and depth, and a damn fine finish. If you get a chance, buy it." (Jeb Dunnuck 2024)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domain rated 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
Yves Cuilleron is the largest winegrower-producer in the Northern Rhône region, with 65 hectares in operation and around 20 different wines, mainly from Saint-Joseph, Condrieu and Côte Rôtie. Indigenous yeasts and ageing in wood (9 months for the whites, 18 months for the reds) define a style that is certainly woody, but where each terroir ultimately expresses itself. Starting with the 2015 vintage, each appellation offers a cuvée with a lieu-dit name. One of the benchmark addresses in the Rhône Valley.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domain rated (guide 2024) Awarded wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
A benchmark in the northern valley, particularly for its Condrieu wines. Based in Chavanay, Yves Cuilleron took over in 1987 the estate created in 1920 by his paternal grandfather, then managed by his uncle Antoine. He gradually expanded the estate (70 ha today), planted at high density and run in a highly reasoned manner on the right bank of the Rhône (condrieu, côte-rôtie, saint-joseph, saint-péray and cornas) and, since 2012, on the left bank (crozes-hermitage).

Domaine rated (2024 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
In 1987, Yves Cuilleron took over the family estate created by his grandfather in 1920. Dynamic and enterprising, Yves has continued to develop the estate, which today covers 90 hectares in the main appellations of the northern Rhône valley, complemented by a trading activity. The style of the wines has become more refined in recent years, and the emphasis on terroir has progressed thanks to a range of very interesting parcel-based cuvées. This is a house you can trust.

Wine rated (guide 2023) 15,5/ 20
About the wine:
Ripe but rather timid nose. Round and fleshy on the palate, with notes of peach pit. The acidity is low and the finish generous, rich and unctuous. For those who like their Condrieu rich and honeyed!
Vinous A. Galloni
Wine rated (2024 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
Condrieu Les Chaillets 2022 exhales marked notes of cedar and vanilla, accompanied by ripe peaches, quinces and apricots. With a little more substance than La Petite Côte of the same vintage, the well-made Condrieu Les Chaillets 2022 hits the palate with great flavor concentration and refreshing acidity.
James Suckling
Wine rated (2024 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
A well-crafted, balanced and lively Condrieu. Notes of yellow plum, lemon, wild herbs and a touch of verbena. Medium-bodied, it develops succulently. Textured and precise, with good midpalate volume. Delicious, savory finish. Enjoy or keep.
