"One of the appellation's best value for money!
Decked out in its superb inky color, this Côte-Rôtie gives off promising notes of spices, black olives and asphalt. The estate's flagship cuvée reveals great finesse, aromatic richness and a fine tannic structure. It stylishly combines breed and silkiness in a promising nectar. This wine can be kept for 6 to 15 years, but can also be enjoyed young for intense, gourmet pleasure. A must for lovers of great Rhône wines!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2024) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
This small estate cultivates eleven parcels in eight Côte-Rôtie localities, from which Patrick Jasmin produces a single blended cuvée to be aged for a few years. A serious address.

About the domain :
Patrick Jasmin is the fourth generation of his family to farm the estate's current six hectares of Côte Rôtie. Since 2015, there are also 12 hectares of early Rhodanian Hills. Jasmin uses a variety of oak sizes, with no more than 30% new oak overall. The luxury cuvée, Oléa, may have a higher proportion, as it is a barrel selection, but this means that 15% to 20% new oak is more typical of the domaine's main cuvée, La Giroflarie. The grapes are destemmed (since the mid-1990s), with fermentation in immersed cap for gentle extraction and around 5% viognier. The results are perfumed wines with silky textures but admirable structure. They certainly deserve more attention from consumers.
