Domaine Chamfort
The Domaine Chamfort vineyard is spread over 26 hectares and 4 appellations: Rasteau, Sablet, Séguret Côtes du Rhône villages and Vacqueyras. Work in the vineyard is essentially mechanical to prevent weeds from invading. Fertilization is limited to organic fertilizers, sulfur and copper to prevent disease.
Domaine Chamfort wines reflect the identity of each terroir, with freshness as the guiding principle. Vasco uses long vatting times to gently extract the grape's juices, and does his utmost to preserve the grapes' finesse and fruitiness intact. A promising young estate!

This promising young domaine offers us a very fine, fresh and fruity Rasteau, with lovely red fruit notes on the palate. It has a fine structure, in which the tannins express themselves with finesse. Already a hit with customers 1jour1vin, suggest it with stewed meat!
Domaine Chamfort - Côtes du Rhône Sablet 2013
3.7/5 (10 reviews)
"Lovely, tender but full-bodied palate. Very appetizing fruit, fresh but balanced with just the right amount of ripeness. The tannins envelop the fruit without dominating it." (RVF June 2014 - Spécial Millésime 2013) On the border with the renowned Gigondas appellation, Domaine Chamfort's Côtes-du-Rhône Sablet parcel is located on a terrace high above the village. Syrahs around twenty years old and Grenache around fifty years old are planted. This is a fine wine with beautiful red fruit and exceptional freshness.
